Absolutely SUPERB! The saffron is now one of my favourite places to eat. The food is spot on, very tasty & plenty of it. The service is top notch & all the staff are amazing! If I could give them 10 stars I would. It's a unique little set up being attached to a pub but works really really well. Excellent value for money. We had poppadoms, pickle tray, mixed grill starter for 2 people, 2 curries, chips & a large naan bread that came on a hook, several drinks each inc vodka/coke & larger. The total all came in under £60. There was plenty of parking on the road & we just literally parked straight across from the restaurant/pub. We do generally book in advance (not exactly local) on the one occasion that we didn't book, we were only waiting less than 10mins & just grabbed a drink from the bar. They will always accommodate you. The pub attached & all the staff are fabulous too!
This restaurant is exceptional! We’ve been coming here since it opened and the quality and service remains extremely high! The food is authentic with the best onion barges we have ever had. The service is great and you are always made welcome by the most helpful and politest of staff. We will be back (again) for sure!
Called on the off chance this evening purely based on the fact a takeaway from hare a few weeks ago was second to none. The restaurant was fully booked but the staff kindly accommodated the three of us in the pub bar area, nice and clean and plenty of space. The food was incredible. The pickle tray was just so delicious we almost ate up.
Friday night, family of 4. I have to say this is the best Indian meal I have ever had! I ordered the Balti exotica and it was fantastic! The staff are lovely and attentive. The prices are good too. The only thing that I can say was that the setting is too dark (I struggled to read the menu) and the tables are quite small to fit everything onto. A slightly bigger table with a table cloth/covering and central candle for ambience would really set the scene. My new favourite place for a s’uper tasty-hits the spot’ Indian cuisine.
Thank you 👍😊, really lovely place to visit
We’ve been to Saffron Indian restaurant at The Loco pub, in Haxey this evening - our first visit to this popular curry restaurant which opened in April this year. It’s only a small restaurant, catering for about 30 diners but also does a brisk take-away trade too! We started our meal with poppadoms and pickles, starters were royal mixed kebab, chicken pakora and fish pakora. Main courses were lamb passanda, chicken korahi, chicken panthia and Indian Railway curry, served with vegetable rice and a huge garlic nann!! The food was great, nicely spiced and very tasty - we’ll certainly eat here again! Thank you everyone!!
We love this place excellent atmosphere service excellent food best curry I’ve ever had. We try to come every week unless on holiday. Tried so many dishes but railway curry is my favourite xxxxx

If you're in the mood for something different, their Chef's Specialities like Keema Bangla are a hit.
